Victorian Corsage by Jovan: launched in 1993.
All things Victorian were in vogue once again in the early 1990s and some fragrances were directly inspired by the time period. Coty came out with Truly Lace in 1992 and L'Effleur in 1990, so it was only natural that drugstore giant Jovan would come out with their own Victorian style perfume, aptly named Victorian Corsage. To me, it evokes images of a genteel lady, wrapped in flounces and frou frou holding a tussy mussy in her hand.
So what does it smell like? It was classified as a floral bouquet fragrance for women.

I just got this on eBay after becoming interested in some of the old Jovan fragrances. I think this period of time reflected what was happening in the media: There was the lovely magazine, Victoria, and there were Award-winning movies set in the Victoria era at the time, such as A Room with a View and Howard's End. I can't wait to try this fragrance out.
